Speaking recently during matriculation recurrence at the Main Hall, Dr. Chandaria asked students to remain focussed on their dreams and pursue their goals with passion. He narrated to them his diaper background, rising from obscurity to a leading industrialist in the region. “We are not variegated human beings from the rest of the world. I am assuring you that everything is achievable, so long as you stay focussed and work nonflexible towards realising your dreams.” He cautioned students versus taking part in strikes and other vices bedevilling universities. “I would like you to understand that universities were established as centres that offer knowledge. Stick to this mandate and stave unnecessary confrontations,” said Dr. Chandaria. He widow that he expected students to learn faithfully, maintain upper standards of willpower and uphold a sense of patriotism to the university and the unshortened country. Prior to the Chancellor’s address, Vice-Chancellor Prof. Francis Aduol had welcomed students to the university. In his speech, the VC congratulated them for having attained good grades that enabled them to get admitted to TU-K. He told students that TU-K offers unique programmes, has heady facilities and is prepared to requite them the weightier education.  Prof. Aduol reminded them that the university is a polity of scholars and therefore they should be single-minded to scholarly work. “University is the greatest institution invented by human being. It has wonk self-rule of teaching and learning. You will therefore be required to pursue knowledge and truth freely,” said the VC. He emphasised that students should listen to lecturers and take seriously what they learn. He widow that they will be required to go out of their way and research on various topics. The Vice-Chancellor well-considered wonk staff to maintain upper sense of nobility and visitation since students consider them as their role models. He urged students to behave well and make the university competitive.  “We would like you to communicate good image of our university.  Go when to your previous schools, talk well-nigh TU-K and encourage other students to join this university,” said he. Prof. Aduol well-considered students to segregate their friends thoughtfully and be cautious of conmen who may disorganise them by promising untellable things.
