The examinations function of the University is housed at theViewingOffice, on the ground floor of the Administration Block. Our mandate is to; management and coordinate University examinations process, to process and issue wonk transcripts and certificates, to coordinate and supervise viewing processing by examining units, to process and generate graduands list and to act as the custodian of all wonk board/senate tried students' viewing results. To succeed this mandate the office is divided into three sections;ViewingManagement, Examinations Results and Transcripts and Graduation & Certification. Email Address: examinations@tukenya.ac.ke Important Information on Examinations Examinations are very important component of a students wonk life and students are expected to familiarize themselves with theViewingPolicy Manual. Semester Examinations shall be conducted in the 14th and 15th week of the semester and it is important to note that there are two categories of examination: ContinuousTowageTest (CAT) and Ordinary Examination. Continuous towage test may take any or a combination of the pursuit forms: practicum, project, essay, formal test while Ordinary Examinations are examinations that are taken at the end of the semester or wonk year. In order to qualify to sit for University examinations, a student must register for prescribed undertow units in a programme and maintain an ubiety of 75%. Every student who is registered for university examinations will be issued with an viewing vellum by their respective school which must be produced at each viewing sitting. A student who experiences a problem, which is likely to stupefy his/her viewing performance (i.e. sickness, bereavement etc.) must report surpassing sitting the examinations such problems in writing to the Chairman of the Department offering the courses the student is taking and to the Dean of the School. Any problem that is reported without the viewing results are known will not be open-door for viewing appeals.WonkTranscriptWonktranscripts are issued to students as vestige of courses taken and the grades attained in each undertow as per relevant University grading system. The preparation of transcripts is dependent on the receipt of complete, well-judged and up-to-date consolidated marksheets from the Faculties/Institutes/Schools. The Senior Assistant Registrar (Examination and Certification), shall immediately without results are tried by the Senate, initiate the process of updating transcripts. Transcripts may be released to student or sponsor once a year.Withoutthe first release, spare copies shall vamp a fee. Special Examinations Failure to sit for examinations with good undertow Supplementary Examinations must be washed-up within 3 months from the stage the viewing results are declared. score cannot exceed 40%. Repeat Examinations Taking full prescribed undertow study for the undertow unit (coursework, CAT, assignments and examinations) Failed Supplementary score cannot exceed 40%. Discontinuation fromUndertowof Study Failure to sit for examinations with no good undertow Failed in any undertow without 4 attempts Exhausted the maximum periodViewingAppeal Mechanism Soon without the declaration of the viewing results by Faculties/School/Institutes, students who are dissatisfied with their results, may request to the Principal.WonkMisconduct (Irregularities) Any self-mastery that endangers level playing ground and which may therefore expose towage and viewing processes to disrepute is considered wonk misconduct.Wonkmisconduct may take the form of collusion, impersonation, fabrication of results, cheating, and plagiarism. Collusion Collusion is when two or increasingly candidates participate in writing a coursework and submitting as work of one candidate. Impersonation Impersonation is where a person other than the identified candidate prepares the works for submission as a coursework or sits a test/examination on behalf of the bonafide candidate. Fabrication of Results Fabrication is inserting imagined data and ultimatum the data was placid from real setting. Other Requirements Candidates have to present themselves in person with original national identification vellum or valid driving license or valid passport at the Examinations Office to collect wonk documents. They will be expected to remember their ticket numbers. DuplicateWonkDocuments It is policy of the university that we do not print indistinguishable wonk certificatesIndistinguishablewonk transcripts vamp a fee per set.Certifying Copies of OriginalWonkDocuments This will moreover vamp a fee. Storage Charges It is expected that candidates collect their wonk certificates within three (3) months from the stage these certificates are received at the Examinations Office. Certificates placid thereafter will vamp a fee per year.
